Working in an atmosphere that is full of negativity never helps a person to grow or work properly. And in every workplace, there will be a bunch of negative people who don’t like anything, and they think they are treated unfairly.
Here are steps to deal with a negative co-worker:
1-First, avoid spending time with a negative co-worker because it will create negative energy around you, and you will lose motivation to work.
2-If you are forced to work with a negative person, then set time limits.
3-Do not allow yourself to become drawn into negative discussions. Tell your co-worker you prefer to think about your job positively.
4-Suggest the negative person seek assistance from human resources or their manager to get rid of their negativity.
5-Talk to your manager about the challenges you are experiencing in dealing with the negative person.
6-Always give your point of view because this helps the negative person to know that you think differently so they will not disturb you again.
