Amid the COVID-19 pandemic most of the organisations are planning to cut down on their resources. If your company is also planning to perform layoffs in the coming days and you think you could be the one, here are a few tips to prepare yourself to survive such difficult times.
Plan to start something of your own
COVID-19 pandemic has uplifted the entrepreneurial spirit of the people. Instead of waiting for a job, you can start something of your own it can be a Youtube Channel or you can conceptualise a business idea, etc all you just need to do is identity where your passion lies and the rest will follow.
Money is not a problem
The current pandemic has blurred the geographical boundaries for workers. If you think managing your finances is a big challenge, then trust me it’s not. There are a plethora of remote jobs available, all you need to do is just evaluate your options that best fit your need.
Upskill and reskill, is the key to the future. If you think you’re stuck in your current job role and it will be difficult for you to get another job- change your domain. You can research for advanced courses in your functional area or you can take up something new that is different from your current job.
If you’ve spent your life and your career devoted to your industry, now it’s time to give some attention to yourself. Self-care is very important in that you realise where all things you have to focus more and where you can improve your skills.
