In a chat session, Parag Bengali, Director, Human Resource and Finance, Bisleri International Pvt. Ltd., said, “Technology innovation plays a big role in the FMCG sector. The FMCG sector works on attractive packaging as well as cost economy since it is a mixture of impulse and durable products. Continuous engineering is done in this industry to minimize the cost and comfort for final consumers. There is a very bright future for the technology. Innovations are continuously done in different kinds of machines for manufacturing and other automations like packaging to reduce labour and increase speed of work.”
On being asked about the suggestion on how one can move in the FMCG industry and build his or her career , Parag said, “You need not be tech savvy to be part of the FMCG Industry. However the education qualification does not become a barrier in the FMCG sector provided you have got an appropriate approach towards your work.”
According to Parag, “There is a bright future for BTech graduates in the FMCG sector and candidates can go ahead with some specialisation courses to grab better opportunities. The FMCG sector keeps on doing innovations almost on an everyday basis the consumer needs and hence this is ever demanding and growing industry. There is a good future in the FMCG sector.”
