Flipkart owned e-commerce platform, Mantra is hiring 7,000 temporary workers in its supply chain and warehouses. These temporary recruits will work during the festive sale period.
The company is hiring new workers to meet the demand during the festive season. Myntra has seen impressive demand for whatever sale campaigns it launched during the Covid-19 pandemic. It has absorbed most of the 5,000 employees that it had hired on a temporary basis in June.
The company is expecting that this year’s festive hiring will be the largest so far. Myntra is confident about making this festive season among the biggest. The company has received a fresh capital infusion of $103 million from its Singapore-based parent entity, FK Myntra Holdings.
Myntra will start preparing for its week-long sale this week. The tech platform has also ramped up its customer contact centre by adding 1,000 people. The e-commerce firm has offered an allowance of Rs 20,000 to its employees set up home office ahead of the pandemic.
The company has added 6,000 more MENSA (Myntra Extended Network for Service Augmentation) partners for last-mile deliveries. It has 18,000 partners who are expected to fulfil 70% of the deliveries during the Big Fashion Festival.
Myntra is expecting 20,000 orders per minute, at peak hour during the festive sale. Considering the workload during the sale, Myntra is offering 3 days leave to employees so that they can work for an extended period during the weekends.
