Switching jobs is not new but what exactly people are looking for when considering new job changes from time to time? Previously it was all about job security but now as time changes things have also changed.
Apart from job security, there are several other things that employees are looking for these days and this is why we want to know what matters most to you when considering a new job. Therefore, a few days back, our sister company, TechGig created a poll asking the salaried employees to vote on one of the most interesting polls. Now the results have arrived. Do have a look at them.
As expected, around 57% of employees consider salary and other benefits when it comes to changing a new job and 31% of employees voted for career growth.
According to the result of our poll, employees mostly look out for higher salaries and career growth because these two factors are the most crucial to an employee. However, people are often confused between both of them.
Although career growth needs to struggle initially but recovers only before the final buzzer while salary is the central striker. More than simply the number of zeros on your salary separates the two. Your best bet is to modify the factors around your job and plan smartly. This may solve some of the problems each path has without harming the benefits.
Among other options in the poll, 8% of people chose personal development and only 4% chose location as their main factor when it comes to changing a job. That means, there are people just simply looking for personal development and location rather than salary part and career growth. This might interest employers.
