Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is planning to hire more than 40,000 techies in the coming fiscal year 2022. The company reported hiring 40,000 techies in the last year of 2021. The company released the report of FY21 recently that shows the great increase in the revenue and also the addition of new employees.
Milind Lakkad, the Chief HR Officer, TCS stated that the operating model is now working on internal talent development. The company is now hiring more talent with the national qualifier test happening four times a year.
He added that the majority of hiring for FY22 will be done in the first quarter and may extend up to the next three quarters. This will shape up accordingly. However, with the low attrition rate of 7.2%, the company is now focusing on hiring to inch a bit up.
TCS is at the top when it comes to hiring 19,388 employees in Q4. The net addition of 40,185 is added in the year with a headcount of 4.88.649. Similar numbers were noted last year and with no significant challenges, the company will witness the same front.
He also added that TCS will invest in technology and refresh existing ones in terms of security, communication, connectivity, and other major aspects.
As the FY21 report of TCS shows the revenue growth of 4.2% with an increase of 6.3% in the quarter.
