Wipro, the leading Indian IT service provider, recently announced that they are working on retaining the employees and taking several measures such as skill-based bonuses, salary hikes, and promotions.
In January, the company rolled out the pay hikes for 80% of the employees and now the company is planning to roll out another hike in June again.
Despite the loss in 2020, the tech giant Wipro declared a single-digit salary hike in October for 80% of the workforce.
Wipro’s Chief Human Resources, Saurabh Govil, said that the employees got the salary hike as part of their promotional cycle and now in June, the company is all set to work on skill-based bonuses for senior employees.
The company attrition rate is also increasing at an alarming rate that was noted at 12.1% on March 31.
The company is also planning to hire more employees based on the skills with the explosion of job opportunities in the market. The companies are now looking for employees with new-age skills such as Cloud services, the Internet of Things, and others due to the increased demand for potential candidates.
During the third and fourth quarter, the company hired freshers and laterals. In the new quarter also the company is planning to hire across the US, India, and Europe.
The salary hike will affect the margin of Wipro with flat sequential growth for the quarter of March.
